I really enjoyed reading & reviewing Emma Meade’s YA paranormal Under the Desert Moon so when she asked me to review her short story collection, The Awakening & Other Stories, I immediately replied to her email with a yes!
And thankfully her short story collection did not disappoint me. It was short & sweet with a bit of a spooky edge. I easily devoured the collection in one sitting. The stories while able to stand on their own connect to one another with a sort of eerie paranormal thread that weaves all of the stories together.
I especially like “Ghost Story” it really appealed to my adventurous & curious side. It was also held the perfect amount of bittersweet”ness”.
I also enjoyed “End of the Line” a train + a death wish…such a spooky thriller.
So a huge congrats to Emma Meade for really finding your niche in the paranormal field. If you want to buy they collection visit Emma Meade’s website for more information. For $1.99 it is the perfect treat for anyone who loves anything with a paranormal or spooky twist.
